The Company is responsible for the Group’s gas, power, LNG, dry bulk, and LPG trading and marketing activities across North America. Operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the organization supports time-sensitive, business-critical activities that require real-time analysis, effective decision-making, and clear communication. The TGPNA Middle Office team consists of more than ten professionals dedicated to supporting power, natural gas, dry bulk, and other commodity markets.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3 to 5 Middle Office Analysts responsible for position reporting, profit and loss (PnL) reporting, and risk oversight activities.
Provide risk assessment, analytics, and control functions supporting TGPNA's rapidly evolving power business, including flexible power generation (1.5 GW), real-time and cash trading, market access trading across select ISOs/RTOs, and structured transactions.
Partner closely with Front Office teams to support business growth by delivering timely and accurate analysis of transaction risk impacts. Develop a deep understanding of market structures and commercial strategies while providing risk insights that support informed business decisions.
Directly supervise risk control analysts, manage departmental resources and priorities, conduct performance evaluations, and coach team members to enhance their professional development and effectiveness.
Collaborate with Back Office, Finance, Credit, Legal, Internal Controls, and Trading Systems teams to ensure alignment of risk control practices, policies, and limits, while driving operational excellence and system enhancements.
Monitor adherence to trading limits, ensuring compliance, proper documentation, and escalation where appropriate. Review and analyze non-standard transactions and provide recommendations or approvals to senior management.
Develop, implement, and continuously enhance Middle Office risk policies, procedures, and controls to support business growth and evolving market activities. Identify opportunities to improve processes and mitigate operational and financial risks.
Serve as the primary point of contact for trading-related inquiries and provide support to traders in modeling complex transactions within trading and risk management systems.
Lead the daily independent valuation, analysis, and reporting of risk positions, exposures, and trading results while ensuring compliance with established policies, limits, and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of trading positions, exposures, and financial results to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Identify, monitor, and report operational risk events, including near misses and control failures, while fostering a strong risk-awareness culture across the organization.
Collaborate with Global Risk Control teams located in Geneva and Singapore to ensure consistency in risk management processes, controls, and reporting practices.
Act as the North American Power subject matter expert and provide leadership and support across Middle Office activities related to Power, Natural Gas, LNG, Dry Bulk, and other commodity trading businesses.
Maintain ownership and oversight of TGPNA Power trading position and PnL reporting, ensuring all transactions are accurately captured, modeled, valued, and reported.
Provide advanced risk analytics and reporting, including Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress testing, maximum loss analysis, and other risk metrics used to support commercial decision-making.
Deliver meaningful risk insights and recommendations to the Head of Risk Control, Risk Committee, and senior management.
Maintain accountability for Middle Office controls and governance activities, ensuring transparency in issue identification, escalation, remediation, and reporting.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of regulatory reporting requirements and associated control processes.
Oversee Middle Office staffing, resource planning, employee development, succession planning, and performance management activities.
Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, optimization, and automation of Middle Office processes, controls, and reporting capabilities.
Promote and uphold the Company's Code of Conduct, Business Integrity standards, and all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.

Profil du candidat
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related business discipline (required).
Master's degree and/or relevant professional certification in a related field (preferred).
Strong understanding of the energy industry, commodity trading, macroeconomics, risk management, and financial markets.
5-7 years of experience within a commodity trading middle office function or commodity trading environment; prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
Experience with North American power markets, including knowledge of ISO/RTO structures, power market fundamentals, physical and financial power trading, congestion management, and related power products.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market information.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
