Contexte et environnement
We are seeking a motivated Junior Chemist to join our Linden facility. Reporting to the Lab Manager, this role supports both Quality Control and Industrial Product Development. You’ll perform laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process bulk, and finished goods, ensuring products meet established specifications. You’ll also help analyze competitor products and develop equivalent formulations.
Activités
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct quality control testing for products blended at the Linden plant.
Record and interpret test results, prepare certificates of analysis, and maintain documentation.
Analyze production samples, raw materials, and finished goods with accuracy and timeliness.
Guide production personnel on batch adjustments and product disposition.
Develop and adjust formulations for metalworking fluids, water-soluble and neat oils.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
Order lab supplies and chemicals as needed.
Notify management of production issues for timely resolution.
Practice good chemical hygiene and lab safety.
Manage lab waste and perform other duties as assigned.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds and handle oil-filled pails.
Profil du candidat
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Chemistry) or equivalent education.
Experience executing lab tests according to ASTM and other standardized methods.
Strong reading, writing, and computer skills (MS Office).
Team player, dependable, and able to follow instructions.
Understanding of petroleum chemistry and lubricant product manufacturing is a plus.
