Purpose of the job





Developing and building Orange Telco Cloud infrastructure to support evolving network needs and support business cases to transform network services towards virtualization with optimum cost and highest performance in alignment with industry standards and Orange roadmap.

Duties and responsibilities








Build and implement network function virtualization infrastructure that caters for Network services future needs such as 4G & 5G.
Interacting with Cloud infra/Network/Tools with Network Operations teams to create innovative solutions to reduce network impacting incidents, improve speed and accuracy of changes, reduce manual work and also enhance network tooling visibility.
Work with Solution Architect to document the existing standards and develop designs to improve the efficiency of the automation solutions
Working in an Agile framework, and will be part of the Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning,
Daily Stand up, Sprint review and retrospective etc.
Understanding application networking/infrastructure requirements and translating them to a configuration deployment as part of the automation
Collect feedback from design and technical staff on UI development needs
Plan and estimate projects in agile development environment
Create conceptual diagrams, visual mock-ups, and manage detailed user interface specifications
Conduct automated usability & functional UI testing
Engage in requirement specification process for new software functionality.
Write and develop RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's to select Telco Cloud infrastructure S/W & H/W with optimum performance and cost.
Design, develop, implement and Integrate new SW releases for virtualized environment
Design, develop, implement and Integrate Telco Cloud Infrastructure HW, SW , Security and services.
Ensures the Telco cloud growth requirements and expansion capacities needed for on-boarding of the services and functions requested by service owners.
Administer Telco Cloud lab to test new ?scenarios, technologies and devices? before going production.
Manage Telco Cloud life cycle for all S/W & H/W components including vendor management.
Align with Orange group for the evolution of Telco Cloud roadmap.
Explore new technologies / components to ensure optimum performance of Telco Cloud and optimize CAPEX/OPEX.
Develop KPIs & processes for managing Telco Cloud environment and services.









Job specification

Education

B.Sc. Electrical Engineering: Electronics and Communication
Experience:

Minimum 4 years of work experience, 2 of which in cloud architect.
Very Good technical background in IP Networks.
Very Good technical background in Cloud infrastructure.
Have good level of understanding for the following:
3G/4G Mobile environment
Linux
Python
REST API's
JSON/XML
Ansible
Git
Containers/Microservices
Infrastructure as Code / NetConf/Yang
Hybrid Cloud
CI/CD
Layer 5-7 of the OSI Model (Session, Presentation, and Application)
