Opportunity

Has responsibility for providing:
Level 1 application system support to global business users, applying an
agreed set of tools and Live Help
Internal process support for GSC ITS teams

Key Responsibilities:

The position is based in TM2 terminal, and the contribution of this role to the business on a shift basis is as follows:
Support the operation control room team in the day-to-day tasks.
Ensure the reliability of the systems and subsystems inside a stressful and fast changing environment.
Ensure a smooth coordination between all working teams inside the shift especially with Asset Management (AM) and IT teams.
Perform the first level of troubleshooting and investigations and monitoring any deviation into Control System.
Perform a smooth handover and issue a shift report for the back-office team and the rest of the supporting functions.
Extract data from management systems and follow up on trends and KPIs.

Qualification:
University degree Bachelor of Science (BSc+) in Automation Engineering, Computer Science Software Engineering, Electronic or a related field (Equivalent education and work experience may be substituted):

Requires at least 2 years of experience in Industrial System Design and Testing in a medium to large organization.
Must have at least 2 years’ experience of Proven ability to establish and maintain automation and process documentation (functional requirements, test cases, wiring diagrams…etc.).
SCADA and PLC programming knowledge (Siemens and B&R products knowledge is a plus).
Control Panel HW design knowledge.
International Standards and Local Regulations basic Knowledge (mainly IEC Standards / CE directives).
Familiarity with Port Equipment/Processes or moving machinery or is a plus.

Knowledge
Ability to coordinate with suppliers, vendors and external contractors.
Experience in the following systems: Siemens PLCs, languages Ladder, ST, FBD, IL, STL, AT commands.
CMS/HMI : Scada, WinCC, Citect and automation studio HMI designer.
Drives: Siemens, Drive Monitor, Simotion.
Platforms, Networking and protocols communications (TCP/IP, Profibus, ASI, CAN-Bus, Profinet and Drive-Cliq)

Ability
Strong interactive and social skills.
Must be able to maintain a very clear and effective on transmitting information.
Ability to speak and write in English
Work on shifts 24/7 on an operational environment.
