We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Datacenter to be based out of our offices in Tangier.

APM Terminals TECH HUBS Service Delivery team plays a critical role in executing on Datacenter related project- and business-as-usual activities including cyber security related activities. As our Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead a small team of Datacenter experts, overseeing datacenter projects and operations in the 7 main APM terminals worldwide. The projects are pivotal to supporting our business and the transformation journey we are on.

This role is perfect for someone with strong datacenter knowledge looking to grow into a senior leadership position later in their career. You’ll have a direct impact on shaping the future global infrastructure of APM Terminals.

While this role may require regular visits to our Tangier terminal and availability outside of standard work hours, we understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to flexible arrangements to support you.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:
Driving the transition from local to global IT service provisioning
Driving infrastructural standardization in line with our global TECH strategy
Implementing global and local programs and solutions
Managing the lifecycle of datacenter equipment and solutions
Leading and supervising a team of datacenter professionals

We are looking for
Documented knowledge of multiple datacenter technologies including hardware, VMWare, OS (Windows / Linux), and backup and restore technologies. Database knowledge is a plus, but not a requirement.
The ability to provide guidance on topics like data center infrastructure, product choices, solutions and backup schemes as processes and procedures in these areas.
Leadership potential. While prior senior-level experience is not mandatory, you should be able to demonstrate leadership qualities such as: strong project management and problem-solving skills, relationship-building abilities, the abilities to guide and motivate others and delivering in a timely manner.
Proficiency in English, written and verbal, as you’ll collaborate with colleagues worldwide.
Understanding of the terminal or maritime industry is a plus but not a requirement.
