Job Title: Research Assistant (Contractor)

Location: Remote

Stake experts is a dynamic research and consulting firm focused on conflict research and analysis and early warning in West Africa. We are hiring a Research Assistant for a short-term contractor position (6 months). This is a great opportunity for entry-level or junior candidates with a keen interest in West African affairs and a strong foundation in qualitative research.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative research on topics related to political science, international relations, and conflict studies.
- Collaborate with the research team to gather, analyze, and synthesize data.
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, summaries, and presentations.
- Manage and organize research data using Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong command in Excel.
- Utilize NVivo software for qualitative data analysis (knowledge of NVivo is an asset).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Conflict Studies, or a related field.
- Strong interest in West African affairs and a desire to contribute to meaningful research in the region.
- Excellent command of qualitative research methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Knowledge of NVivo software is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Fluency in English and a strong command of the French language.
