Vacancy Announcement: Mechanic Superintendent

Location: Goulamina, Mali

Reporting Relationship: Maintenance & Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Mechanic Superintendent at our Goulamina site. As the Mechanical Superintendent, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mechanical maintenance and installation services to our fixed lithium processing plant and associated infrastructure. Your leadership will be vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our mechanical maintenance activities while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities:

- Establish, review, and continuously improve mechanical maintenance activities, aligned with production plans and budget.

- Ensure availability of tools, parts, and expertise for efficient workflow allocation.

- Monitor maintenance systems and performance, suggesting improvements for enhanced efficiency.

- Investigate critical equipment failures and implement continuous improvement strategies.

- Provide technical direction and guidance to the maintenance teams.

- Promote safety awareness among team members and proactively manage health and safety risks.

- Comply with company policies, protocols, and statutory requirements.

Requirements:

- 5-10 years' experience in fixed plant and infrastructure mechanical maintenance management, supervision, and preventative maintenance programs.

- 3-5 years of hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance experience.

- Trade qualification in a relevant field, including experience as a nominated responsible person for classified equipment.

- Proven experience in leading large teams, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and influence others.

- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.

- Experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment.

- Strong planning and scheduling skills.

- Extensive knowledge in all facets of crane rigging and lifting, as well as welding.

- Tertiary qualification (minimum degree level) in Engineering (mechanical) highly regarded.

- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Pronto or similar, and modern maintenance databases.

- Current first aid certificate, including CPR.

- Valid Driver's License.
