POSITION: Financial Accounting Superintendent

LOCATION: Goulamina, Mali

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Financial Controller



We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accounting Superintendent to join our team at Lithium Du Mali. As the Financial Accounting Superintendent, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to manage and coordinate the company's statutory (OHADA) and corporate (IFRS) reporting processes, including the subsequent audit of financial results. This is a critical role that requires compiling monthly financial accounting reports, preparing analysis schedules, reviewing general ledger transactions for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with SOX/Internal controls sign-off. Additionally, you will be responsible for training, coaching, and supervising the site Project Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely AP/AR closure, and accurate accruals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare, compile, and generate monthly OHADA Trial Balances for Leo Lithium Entities.

- Review the accuracy of OHADA transactions coding in Pronto Xi on a monthly basis.

- Reconcile differences between OHADA and IFRS Trial Balances and present findings to the Financial Controller for review.

- Review monthly tax entries in Pronto Xi for accuracy.

- Review the OHADA fixed asset register on a monthly basis.

- Manage and update financial inputs for statutory reports such as the Transfer Pricing Report, ESTMA Report, and DNGM Report.

- Participate in the Annual Statutory Audit.

- Manage and train/supervise the AP Accountants to ensure timely and accurate closure of Invoicing and Accruals at period ends.

- Maintain Pronto ERP Fixed Asset Register, including asset additions and disposals.

- Generate depreciation schedules from Pronto ERP and review for accuracy.

- Perform the first review of monthly Variance Reports (Operations, Construction, and Exploration) prepared by Cost & Management Accountant(s).

- Perform the first review of inventory (warehouse consumables and metal inventory) valuations, impairments, and stripping cost capitalization models prepared by the cost & management accountant(s).

- Perform the first review of the monthly Physicals file prepared by Cost & Management Accountant(s).

- Review all Accrual and General journals before they are recorded in Pronto Xi.

- Perform a monthly review of Customs Duties, Inventory Variance, and Freight Cost Allocation entries.

- Perform monthly reconciliations of GRNI and GIT for review by the Financial Controller.

- Manage the Annual Fixed Assets verification process.

- Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably required.



POSITION HOLDER REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree in Accounting.

- Post-graduate qualification will be advantageous.

- At least 5 years of post-qualification relevant experience, with a significant portion in the mining industry.

- Experience with ERP systems.

- Strong knowledge of SOX, IFRS, GAAP, OHADA, and managing the AP function.

- Must be a Malian citizen and fluent in both French and English.
