Opportunity
Under direct supervision of the Marine Service Coordinator, this position supports the safe handling of vessels in and out of the port.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Handles lines to moor vessel to wharf & tie up vessel to another vessel
Performs routine maintenance and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed
Working knowledge of a pilot boat
Work in a shift system
Ensure that safety equipment provided by the Terminals are always worn in designated areas
Ensure safety instructions are followed and pilot boat kept clean
Appropriately respond and assist with emergencies that occur on shift
Follow existing procedure to complete shift reports at the end of each shift

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma with minimum ten (10) years’ experience
Physically fit with no fear of height
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
Understands safety regulations, working and materials handling procedures
Able to communicate via handheld radio
Must have an STCW Certification
Knowledge and experience of public safety and security operations, rules, regulations, precautions, prevention and the protection of people, data and property
