INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY NOTICE



Position: Electrician



Are you an experienced and safety-conscious Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity in an industrial processing environment? Look no further! We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team at the Goulamina project site in Mali.



Position Overview:

As the Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the electrical safety and maintenance of all site installations and equipment. You will be responsible for performing installation, preventive and breakdown maintenance activities within the project site, adhering to internationally recognized electrical standards.



Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct inspections of work areas and plant to identify hazards, damage, and defects

- Interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine work methods and sequence of activities

- Perform electrical maintenance activities as directed by the Electrical Superintendent

- Diagnose faults and breakdowns, estimating time and materials required for repairs

- Raise orders for materials and undertake repairs or component change outs as needed

- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, promoting safety awareness among team members

- Provide training to other personnel or apprentices as required

- Adhere to all health and safety standards and demonstrate visible leadership in this area

- Comply with all legislative, regulatory, and statutory obligations

- Maintain company policy and protocols, ensuring adherence to all statutory and company obligations



Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Certificate in electrical installation/mechanic trade qualification or equivalency, with current validity

- Specialized training in maintenance of critical equipment preferred (e.g., air compressors, crushing circuits, and milling circuits)

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial processing environment preferred

- Basic to intermediate computer skills

- High Voltage operations certificate and/or experience desired but not essential

- HMI and PLC programming experience desired but not essential

- Instrumentation experience desired

- Electrical aptitude and fault diagnosis experience preferred

- Senior first aid certificate including CPR and electrical rescue techniques essential
