We are hiring an Area Logistics Procurement Manager to lead our South West Africa (SWA) procurement team, based in Douala, Cameroon. The person will ensure that every dollar spent is spent professionally. This is achieved by reducing operating expenses and driving a saving mindset by applying procurement capabilities and tools. The function aims to attain a competitive asset base for the future that is fully operational, at cost, on time.

Key responsibilities
Responsible for managing a portfolio spanning multiple countries and categories (trucking, customs house brokerage, warehousing, rail etc.)
Develop, enhance, and execute negotiation and Supplier Relationship Management strategies towards our suppliers.
Support the company to achieve sustainable solutions, therefore manage a balance between cost, service reliability and best in class delivery promise to our customers
Solving problems in a structured and analytical manner
Conducting tenders and negotiations
Managing internal and external stakeholder relations
Responsible for training and building organizational capability, engagement and improving the way the team works

We are looking for
Preferably 5+ years in a Procurement Leadership position
Demonstrated leadership capability and Ability to drive motivation & engagement within the team
Extensive Negotiations skills
Experience within Supplier Relationship Management, supply chain and & Contract Management
Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills and Ability to exercise impact with or without direct authority on stakeholders
Comfortable with working in an ambiguous environment, with an agile mindset and Successful change management experience and mindset
Customer and process improvement focused
French and English languages required
