The Opportunity
This role will support the implementation of the Plan International Germany Sahel Programme. This 12.5 Mio EUR multi-country programme is based on Plan International's Regional Sahel Strategy 2020-2025 and was developed in cooperation with the Country Offices of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger. It comprises the following intervention areas: 1. child protection, 2. food security, 3. socio-economic empowerment of adolescents and youth (YEE), and 4. conflict transformation/social cohesion. To cover the four intervention areas, the programme will be financed using different funding instruments of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) as well as the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). With this, Plan International aims to contribute to the strengthening of the Central Sahel region within the framework of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus.
