Do you want to be part of a highly engaged team responsible for the Optimization of the Maersk Africa network by working decisively with internal and external stakeholders?

As the Network Optimization Manager, you will join the Maersk Africa Ocean Customer Logistics West Africa team, and together with the team assume collective responsibility for ensuring we deliver the required service delivery to our customers while operating our network at the most optimal way in terms of utilization, transit time and cost effective for Maersk.

Key responsibilities:
Take responsibility for conducting proactive reviews on transit time, flow, utilization and bunker consumption to identify areas of opportunity in our existing network that would led to reduced bunker consumption.

Take responsibility for conducting proactive reviews on service delivery, schedule reliability to drive network stability by means of:
Engaging our Port Optimization team to drive improvements on terminal performance where required to deliver on reliability and service delivery ambitions

Engaging internal stakeholders network and market and revenue ocean management team to improve on the stability of our network and our ability to execute cargo delivery within the transport plan.

Proactive reviews of our feeder network to find the most optimal split between cost efficiency and service delivery

Manage and develop relationships with relevant internal stakeholders to gain support for reliable and cost-efficient vessel operations.

Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate should possess a strong natural drive for results, excellent stakeholder management skills and a thorough understanding of “service” operations.

The ideal candidate should further possess a proactive and positive attitude, high enthusiasm and ability to cooperate in an open and constructive manner, with the aim of the greater good of the Company.

Previous exposure / experience from the Liner operations industry.

Relevant degree e.g. Master Mariner or experience from Marine Operation is an advantage, while the ability to interact with different cultures and communicate efficiently is a must.
