Opportunité
Reporting to the Head of HSSE Improvement Manager, the Occupational Health and Environment Manager provides leadership to HSSEQ superintendents and Vessel support managers towards ensuring their functions perform and deliver top quartile results to customers in addition to direct functional responsibilities
for vessels.

The position is responsible for the development, delivery and ongoing management of environmental regulatory programs applicable locally and internationally, reducing environmental risk and enhance APMT´s environmental performance. This position will support internal stakeholders by providing program direction, support and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpret the Corporate APM Terminals health and environmental strategy to co-create APM Terminals Liberia site-specific health and environmental vision and strategy and share best practices across other terminals.
Empower and enable Operational team members with day-to-day responsibility to conduct their activities whilst understanding and managing the implications of change to health and the environment (management/implementation/assessment/training)
Embed health and environmental practices in all HSSE improvement activities and ensure it reflect latest legislation and practice and are effectively embedded within the organization.
Develop and implement assurance programs, including deep-dives; audits and inspections to assure the level of engagement, compliance and senior management commitment.
Manage internal and external relationship and create and maintain a stakeholder map.
Enable risk management and incident management process and assure critical controls are in place.
Assure critical controls are identified and a control effectiveness and maintenance plan is developed and implemented.
Defining the health and environment requirements of contractors and vendors and assuring provision in contracts, and conformance of contractors at their place of work.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
BSc/MSc Health and Environment discipline, NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
4 – 6+ years´ experience in managing health and environment at a senior level with a proven track record in the delivery of business objectives
Proven track-record leading and developing teams
Proven track-record of being a key decision maker
Strong leadership skills
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
A demonstration of continued professional development within overall HSSE
Lead Auditor Certification
ISO 14001 qualification
Health and environment Risk Management qualification
ISPS Code (desirable)
ISO19001 qualification (desirable)
PMP / Lean qualification (desirable)
English level of minimum 13
